Hydraulic Manure Pumps

Model 720

Model 620

Model 520

The Model 720 Cement in Pitless Pump is great for areas where there is a high ground water table, or where a pump pit would be an inconvenience. A depth of  72” below gutter is all the distance needed to install this pump. A large 40”x40” hopper opening accepts most barn cleaners, and with a little extra cement work can be an ideal hole for scraping into from a free-stall barn. Reliable magnetic switches threaded directly into the hydraulic cylinder are water proof and provide years of trouble free service. The plunger can be adjusted to compensates for wear, and the wedge shaped design agitates manure to help reduce bridging of heavily bedded manure. 1/4” AR400 abrasion resistant steel is used on the chamber sides and replaceable top where the most wear occurs, giving You up to 4 times the life of that of mild steel. 10” pipe is standard, but 6”, 8”, and 12” are also available to fit existing pipes for Your replacement needs.

The model 620 Pump is our Slant Design reception pit manure pump. Requiring only 62” below gutter, this pump will fit in many existing reception pits. The advantage of Slant Design is manure flows into the chamber more rapidly, increasing efficiency. Reliable magnetic switches threaded directly into the hydraulic cylinder are water proof and provide years of trouble free service. 10” pipe is standard, but 6”, 8”, and 12” are also available. With all the advantages of the Zabel Equipment Model 620 Manure Pump, it is a popular unit for replacing old worn-out pumps, or even in new construction.

The Model 520 pump is our Flat Design reception pit manure pump. Requiring only 52” below gutter, this pump will fit in most existing reception pits. Reliable magnetic switches threaded directly into the hydraulic cylinder are water proof and provide years of trouble free service. 10” pipe is standard, but 6”, 8”, and 12” are also available. Oversized hoppers are also a popular option on the Model 520. The Zabel Equipment Model 520 Manure Pump, it is an ideal unit for replacing old worn-out pumps.

POWER PACK - The Zabel Equipment Manure Pump Power Pack has a clean designed to help reduce back pressure, thus lowering amperage draw. Therefore most manure pumps can be operated with a 7-1/2hp electric motor on the 13gpm unit. A 15gpm unit is also available, witch requires a 10hp electric motor, for slurry type manure or for storage pits that are close to the pump. An adjustable pressure relief valve is standard on all Power Packs. Should a foreign object fall into the hopper, oil is by-passed through the relief valve protecting the whole unit from damage. The high capacity 10 micron oil filter keeps the oil clean and free of moisture for up to a year.

PLUNGER HEAD - The wedge shaped Plunger Head is completely adjustable to compensate for wear, years down the road.  No more welding and building up or replacing worn out parts.  Just loosen the stainless steel bolts and adjust for wear.  The face plates and cutting edge can be replaced should they become damaged or if the cutting edge becomes dull.

MAGNETIC SWITCH - The exclusive Magnetic Sensitivity Eye reads center spool on the cylinder, to change direction of Plunger travel without use of moving parts.  It is designed to always start in backward stroke when ever machine is stopped.  This unique design eliminates costly down time and switch replacement.

CYLINDER- This rugged 3" Cylinder with 2" Shaft and 46" Stroke is the Heart of the Zabel Equipment Pump.  Simple, smooth action of this Hydraulic Cylinder pushes the Wedge Plunger to move manure from barn to storage pit.  New touch synthetic fiber hoses that are not effected by oils or acids carry oil from remote Power Pack to Cylinder.  Equipped with Magnetic Eyes and water tight Power Cord for sure positive action.

INSIDE HOPPER - Look at the large opening and freedom of obstructions allowing pumping of long bedding without bridging.

COVER & GATE - This new one piece 12" x 12" gate and replaceable top cover has full flow capacity and requires less pressure to move manure from barn to storage.  Self closing feature insures no backward flow of material.

Look at the advantages of Zabel Equipment Pumps:
  • High Capacity: The 12" x 12" solid piston plunger and target chamber opening can handle any type manure, solid, semi-solid, or liquid.  The long stroke cylinder has capability of pushing manure into the pipe.  This insures total movement of material, cleaning the pipe to eliminate lime and dirt build up.  The Zabel Equipment Pump still has the capacity to keep up with barn cleaner for non-stop operation.
  • Safety: No mechanical arms, gears or chains to cause injury. A direct drive hydraulic pump provides oil pressure to the hydraulic cylinder to move plunger.  A pressure relief valve that is adjustable is set to each application to provide necessary force to move manure to storage. This gives protection to entire unit should chain or paddle accidentally fall into hopper. Operating at only 1/2 of the pressure that the unit will develop, the pressure can be set up should pipe become plugged without expensive cost of digging up pipe to unplug.
  • Versatile: The advantage of handling any type of bedding of box stall manure may allow you to have a manure handling system without changing your farming operation. No need to buy gutter grates or purchase a liquid manure tank and agitator filler pump. You can use your present spreader and loader. Less trips to the field as you do not have to add water to make pump work.
  • Low Cost: Hydraulic design is 20% to 25% more efficient than mechanical drive. This means less H.P. required to move manure to storage area. Less power line load so you may not have to rewire to install pump. The remote power unit saves space. Does not block walkway. Can be mounted on wall completely out of the way.
  • Low Maintenance: Less moving parts than other pumps and the adjustable plunger can really save years down the road. Simply adjust for wear instead of buying new pieces.
  • Easy Installation: The E.Z. installation of the ZE720 pump requires less cement and labor to install. The hopper is built right into pump so less forming is required. The standard 10" P.V.C. pipe and elbows are easier to handle and saves money too.
